Vivace Voces

Classical music for events

The group Vivace Voces was born in 2011 with the objective of performing classic music in events (religious and civil ceremonies, parties, corporate events).
Its elements – Carla Laranjeira, Mônica Queiróz and Paula Rosado – have known each other for more than 20 years, since they sung together at the choir Regina Coeli in Lisbon and other choirs.
In 2015 the cellist Mafalda Nascimento joined the group.

Carla Laranjeira - Piano
Carla Laranjeira started her music studies at the age of 4 years old with her grandmother. Later she enrolled Academia dos Amadores de Música where she finished the piano and music theory courses with high grades. As pianist she has worked with Grupo Coral Cristo Rei de Algés, Orquestra do Círculo de Música de Câmara, Nova Orquestra da Academia de Amadores de Música and Grupo Vocal Feminino Harmonia. She is also a singer and as such she has sung with several choirs: Grupo Coral Cristo Rei de Algés, Grupo Vocal Feminino Harmonia, Coro Regina Coeli de Lisboa and Grupo Vocal Feminino Dona Vocce. From her work both as pianist and as singer several conductors names stand out, such as, Jorge Lé, Fernando Lopes Graça, Amador Cortês Medina, António Vassalo Lourenço and Filipe Carvalheiro.
Mafalda Nascimento - Cello
Mafalda Nascimento began studying piano and cello at age 8 at Academia de Música de Santa Cecília and continued her cello studies at the National Conservatory of Lisbon. She has a degree in Music by the University of Évora. Mafalda has played in different ensembles such as trios and string quartets, and as guest musician in orchestras such as Gulbenkian Orchestra, Orquestra das Beiras and Sinfonieta de Lisboa. As a choir singer she sung in Coro de Câmara de Lisboa and Coro Gulbenkian. In 2011 she completed hes Master of Arts in Music Education at the Eastman School of Music, Rochester, New York
Mônica Queiróz - Voice
Monica Queiróz has been in contact with classical music since early on in her life. She studied in Academia de Música do Rio de Janeiro, in Conservatório Brasileiro de Música and in Escola de Música Villa-Lobos. Her career as soloist and choir member led her to sing in several concerts with Coro da Universidade do Rio de Janeiro, Coro da Catedral do Rio de Janeiro, Coro Regina Coeli de Lisboa and Grupo Vocal Feminino Dona Vocce. She has also worked with several voice teachers: Manuela de Sá, João Lourenço, Isabel Alcobia and Claire Vangelisti.
Paula Rosado - Voice
Paula Rosado started playing piano at the age of 7 years old. Later she enrolled the voice course at Escola de Música do Conservatório Nacional (National Conservatory) in Lisbon, and later concluded her studies at Codarts, Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. She has worked with several teachers and produces, namely, Claire Vangelisti, Carleen Graham, Isabel Alcobia, João Lourenço, Roberta Alexander, Carolyn Watkinson, Frans Huijts, Charlotte Riedijk, Fred Jacobs, Marc Krone and Cilia Hogerzeil. As a choir member she has sung in Coro Regina Coeli de Lisboa, Coro da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian in Lisbon, and Laurenscantorij, Laurens Bachcollegium and Groot Omroepkoor in the Netherlands.
